Mary Ruth Johson

Teacher/director

My name is Mary Ruth Johnson and I am the Director/Teacher at the Little Prairie Pre School. I have been teaching since 1983. I am a graduate of Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, IL with a Associate Degree in Early Childhood. I live in Albion, IL with my husband Martin and we have 3 grown children and have been blessed with 9 grandchildren. I love spending time with my family and being involved in the lives of our grandchildren. I love working with pre schoolers; it is rewarding to be part of each student and giving them their first experience of classroom setting and getting ready for kindergarten. A child must be 3 or 4 years of age by September 1 to attend pre school. You can contact me anytime for more information about our program.

Danielle Kimbrell

Teacher aide

I have been the Teacher's Aide at Little Prairie Preschool since November of 1998.  I live with my husband, Stanley, in rural Albion off the Massilon Road on what was once part of the family farm.  I enjoy preschoolers because they are so full of life.  You never know what one might say or do!  I have the privilege of daily teaching the Bible to our students.  When not at the preschool, I serve as Director of Children's Ministry at LPCC.  This is a position I have held since March of 2002.  I have a heart for individuals with special needs and serve as dean of Special Needs Day at Oil Belt Camp.  I love getting to know so many different families in our community through the church and preschool!
